The 10th Annual Cheers to Belgian Beers – May 13-14, 2016

The 10th Annual Cheers to Belgian Beers – May 13-14, 2016

From the Oregon Craft Beer Website

“Cheers to Belgian Beers is back for its 10th year in 2016.  The Belgian-style Beer Festival will feature a single yeast strain, with which brewers will brew a unique Belgian Style beer. This year the yeast strain is 58 Lioness.

In order to demonstrate the diversity the yeast strain, as well as show off the creativity of Oregon Craft Brewers, the color and strength of each brewer’s beer is determined by a dart throw.

When Portland’s Cheers to Belgian Beers started in 2007, it was to help introduce Oregonians to the breadth of style and flavors of beers brewed in Belgium.  The 2015 Cheers to Belgian Beers featured 60 beers from 57 brewing companies.”

North American Organic Brewers Festival

2015 North American Organic Brewers Festival Preview

2015 North American Organic Beer Festival

2015 North American Organic Brewers Festival Preview by John Lovegrove

Oh boy!

We here at Portland Beer Festivals  are excited about the 11th Annual North American Organic Brewers Festival!

When this festival started in 2003, there were only a handful of organic breweries. Craig Nicholls started Roots Brewing shortly after that first festival, and the NAOBF began proper in 2006. A high profile opening by Hopworks in 2007 drew more attention to the organic beer movement and the festival has gone from strength to strength since.

This year the NAOBF moved from June to August!

As always, we’ll be taking the Yellow Line MAX to the festival at Overlook Park and we recommend you do the same. More details can be found at the links
below.

Overlook Park is located at 1599 N Fremont St. Portland, Oregon 97227
